By making an account or using Essay Notebook, you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, so please do.

Who can use it

You must be 13 or older. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for what happens in your account.

A coach, not a shortcut

• Essay Notebook is a writing coach and drafting partner. You plan, answer questions, edit, and approve every paragraph.
• Schools and teachers have different rules about AI help. It is your job to know and follow yours, and to be honest with your teacher about how you wrote your essay if they ask.
• The coach can make mistakes. Check facts, quotes, and citations before you hand anything in. Your coach is told not to make up facts or quotes, and it flags quotes it cannot find in your sources, but you are responsible for your final essay.

Your writing

What you write belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Essay Notebook for you, as described in the privacy policy.

Fair use

• Do not try to get around plan limits, for example by making many accounts.
• Do not use automated tools or scripts to send requests, or try to break, overload, or attack the service.
• Do not use it to harass anyone or to write anything illegal.

We may limit or close accounts that break these rules.

Plans

The free plan includes a set number of essays each month. Limits and paid plans are shown on the Plans page and may change. If they change, the new limits apply from the next month.

No guarantees

Essay Notebook is provided as it is. We do not promise any grade or result, or that the service will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses from using it.

Ending your account

You can delete your account anytime in Settings.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app.
